Meningitis Outbreak

This is very important information for anyone who suffers with back pain and has received, or is scheduled for steroid injections.  According to the source the period of time it may take for symptoms to be present may be several weeks.  Please pass this information on

“The CDC is now reporting 170 cases in 10 states of fungal infection associated with the steroid, preservative-free methylprednisolone acetate, including 14 deaths.

That’s an increase of 33 cases and two deaths from Wednesday.

But “we are not out of the woods yet,” said Todd Weber, MD, the CDC’s incident manager for the outbreak.”
